Miguel Tiana

Miguel Tiana holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and a Master’s degree in economic policy management from Columbia University (New York). He is the author of several specialized publications on economic matters.

He began his professional career in the Research Service of the Bank of Spain and has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank. In 2012 he joined the Cuerpo Superior de Técnicos Comerciales y Economistas del Estado. Since then he has held various positions in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. Since 2019 he held the position of Deputy Director General of External Debt Management and International Financing, being responsible for the management of the external debt held by the Spanish State as a creditor and participating in the governance bodies of the different instruments of official financial support for internationalization and development.

He was a member of the Executive Committees of FIEX and FONPYME and of the Technical Investment Committee of FONREC (all managed by COFIDES), as well as of FONPRODE (a fund managed by AECID in which COFIDES provides support as an independent expert), FIEM and the CESCE Risk Committee on behalf of the State. He has also been a member of CESCE’s Board of Directors.

Miguel Ángel Ladero

Miguel Ángel Ladero holds a Law degree from the University of Salamanca and an MBA from IESE (University of Navarre).

He joined COFIDES in 2001, where he has held positions of responsibility in various areas ever since including the Legal and Investment Divisions. COFIDES is the financial institution in charge of providing finances to private investment projects abroad with the aim of promoting the internationalisation of the Spanish economy.

Currently, as head of the Investment Division, he is responsible for commercial work with recurrent clients, the analysis, structuring and formalisation of operations, and the follow-ups of portfolio transactions carried out with both COFIDES and FIEX and FONPYME funds, the sum of which surpasses €1,200M.

He has extensive experience in the international finance sector, having participated first-hand in the analysis and structuring of more than 500 transactions which add up to €1,600M through the use of equity and debt instruments. Throughout his professional career, he has been a member of several Company Boards of Directors in countries such as USA, Chile and Brazil, as well as belonging to Investment Committees of private equity funds.

Yolanda Gómez de Segura

Yolanda Gómez de Segura has a degree in Business Administration and Management with a dual Spanish-German degree from the European Center for Business Management and the Fachhochshule Münster.

She has more than 20 years of experience in the area of business financing, having held relevant positions in banking (Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank) in the areas of corporate financing and project financing.

With experience in the industrial area as controller of Acciona Energía Internacional, she completed the acquisition and financing of more than 500 MW of wind and solar energy invarious countries, highlighting Germany and India.

In 10 years of professional development as Deputy Director of Investments at COFIDES, Yolanda has invested more than €600M in projects of large corporations and SMEs. It has developed the lines of investment in private equity and venture capital funds and has successfully completed the agreement for the creation of the Spain-Oman joint fund.

Abdullah Al-Rashdi

Abdullah Al Rashdi is a Manager in the Economic Diversification Investments department of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA). Previously, he was with OIA’s asset management team managing the fund’s local portfolios and JVs, in addition to other direct investments. He represented OIA on the board of investee companies managed within its portfolio, providing oversight and guidance on the company’s overall business affairs and governance structure. He was a member of the IC for Vietnam Oman JV reviewing and approving investment proposals submitted by the company’s management.

Prior to joining OIA, Abdullah worked for OMZEST – a leading family group in Oman – as a portfolio manager, gaining local exposure to different sectors.

Abdullah holds a master’s degree in Investment Management and Strategy from Newcastle University, UK.

Saif has over 16 years of experience in private equity investments, oil industry planning, and financial analysis. He currently manages a diverse investment portfolio at OIA, where he implements strategic, financial, and operational initiatives in various companies. Saif serves on the boards of some of these companies and holds key positions such as Vice Chair of Nama Holding and Investment Committee member in several Oman’s Joint Ventures.

Jaime Hernández Soto

Jaime Hernández Soto is a founding partner of MCH Private Equity.

He was President of ASCRI (Spanish Association of Private Equity) and member of the Council of the EVCA (European Venture Capital Association).

Jaime has led deals in multiple industrial sectors, including food, financial services, retail distribution, manufacturing and services. Jaime is a member of the board of Litalsa and Prosur. Before MCH, he was a member of Grucycsa’s investment team with AUM of €125MM. Prior to this, he worked at Lazard Frères et Cie in Paris, where he helped develop the business in Iberia, in Banco.

Santander de Negocios (investment bank of Santander Group) in Madrid and Banco Exterior de España (now BBVA) in New York.

José Marí­a Muñoz is a founding partner of MCH Private Equity.

Since 1998 he has participated in more than twenty private equity transactions, mainly in buyouts in the Spanish mid-market, in a variety of sectors including specialized industry, distribution, services to companies and consumer products. He has also been promoter of several businesses, such as MyAlert.com or MCH Investment Strategies.

He has been a Board member and Director of companies such as Azulev, Comess Group, Qualytel, IQAP, Talgo, Gamo, Televida, Jeanologia and Lenitudes. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Europastry, TCI Cutting, Grupo Palacios de Alimentación and Aquanaria..

Before founding MCH, he worked for several years at McKinsey & Company in the US and Spain and previously was a Consultant in the Strategic Consulting Division of Andersen Consulting.

José Marí­a holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and was graduated as an Industrial Engineer from ETSII of Madrid. He has been a Visiting Professor of Business Creation at the Instituto de Empresa, member of ICA (Instituto de Consejeros y Administradores), member of the mid-market council in InvestEurope and is an active member of the Cí­rculo de Empresarios and CEAPI (Consejo Empresarial de America Latina).

Before joining MCH, he was Managing Director of the Private Equity company of the financial group Ahorro Corporación, where he was a Director of companies in various sectors such as healthcare, food, consumer, environment and services, having actively participated in the investment and divestment processes of many of them.

He is currently a director of Litalsa, Vaughan, Llusar, Haizea, Logalty and Fermax.

In addition, he is an Independent Director of Xesgalicia, a Private Equity management company of the Xunta de Galicia, and Transportes Mazo.

Luis Parras

Luis Parras joined MCH in September 2018 as Partner.

Previously, he worked almost 15 years in Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan in Madrid and London respectively, advising large and medium companies in their M&A, ECM and DCM transactions, with special focus in Spain and Portugal.

Luis has a MSc in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris).

Celia Andreu

Since her reincorporation to MCH in September 2002, Celia has actively participated in the investment, monitoring and divestment processes of certain portfolio companies, especially in industrial, retail and consumer products sectors.

In 2021, she was appointed Head of Sustainability of the Firm with the responsibility of leading the implementation of the ESG framework within the management company and the portfolio companies of all Funds managed by MCH.

Celia actively participates in the proprietary search of investment opportunities and the monitoring and supervision of internal procedures of the Firm.

She was a director of Masvisión and Brasmar and currently participates in TCI´s Board of Directors.

Prior to joining MCH, she worked in Boston for two years as an Associate of Citizens Capital Inc., the Private Equity arm of Citizens Financial Group.

Celia holds a degree in Law and Business Administration and Management from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE, E-3).

With over 25 years of commercial experience in international business and finance, Mulham Al Jarf is responsible for the Fund’s investment activities and endeavors to achieve long term sustainable returns for the Sultanate of Oman and to support the diversification of the Omani economy. As CIO since 2015, Mulham oversees the Fund’s investment activities through investing in a diversified portfolio of asset classes worldwide. Prior to joining SGRF, Mulham was Deputy CEO of Oman Oil Company SAOC and earlier with the Ministry of Oil & Gas, Oman Gas Company SAOC, and GTO.

Mulham holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from Marymount University and a qualified Barrister-at-Law of the Bar of England and Wales.

Tariq Al Amri

Tariq Alamri assumed the role of the CEO of be’ah in November 2011. He has more than 29 years of experience spanning over many industries. He started his career as project engineer working for Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO). In 1996, he joined one of the government’s pension funds as Head of investment where he established and managed investment portfolios and projects across many markets and industries. Then he moved to Oman LNG as head of Strategic Finance responsible for business planning and corporate economics. During this time he was responsible for the economics of Qalhat LNG project. In 2004, he joined Omantel as Head of Finance before he was assigned the role of VP responsible for the Commercial (marketing, sales, and customer service), Finance, HR, and Corporate Affairs. During this assignment, he contributed in transforming and streamlining Omantel in preparation for the IPO. Tariq holds MBA and BSc. in Electrical Engineering, both from USA.
