Madrid, February 2nd, 2022 – Logalty, a leading company in the legaltech sector with technological solutions for identification, notification and electronic contracting, has signed today the acquisition of SmartBiometrik with the aim of increasing its portfolio of services with disruptive and innovative solutions in the field of digital identification and security.

With more than 500 clients, Smartbiometrik is an innovative and pioneer company in the development of disruptive solutions in video call identification processes for various sectors, mainly the financial sector, with its identification services integrated in the main video call platforms, such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom. With this signing, Smartbiometrik’s team will be integrated within the Logalty Group, where more advanced solutions will be created to drive the Group to lead the digital recruitment market, thus offering the highest level of security and compliance in digital identity solutions worldwide. In addition, the group increases its territorial presence, creating an innovation and development Hub in Seville led by José Antonio Gutiérrez, CEO and founder of SmartBiometrik.

After RegTech Solutions, this transaction is the second acquisition of Logalty Group in less than a year, being framed within the growth strategy of MCH Private Equity, together with Ardian Growth and Swen Capital Partners for the company. It also marks a further step in the Group’s commitment to digital evolution and innovation by integrating pioneering artificial intelligence technology, which will enable Logalty’s services to be complemented with biometric identity verification via video call, among other applications.
