La Rioja, October 4th 2021 – Grupo Palacios has acquired a majority stake in Rhokett Ltd., a Kent-based manufacturer of premium chilled desserts. With this acquisition, Grupo Palacios expands one of its core business units, chilled desserts, consolidating its position in the UK market and strengthening its leading position in the chilled dessert space in Europe.
Rhokett was founded in 2002 by Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes OBE, Martin Dockett and Peter Le Voir. Rhokett is a respected brand in the food industry, offering a wide range of great-tasting hand-finished desserts that bring restaurant-quality products into the home.
The company has long-standing relationships with major and well-known retail and foodservice customers. It is also recognized for its strong in-house R&D capabilities and has invested in three state-of-the-art production facilities at Cranbrook and Hawkhurst in Kent.
